| Summary: | In this article, special attention is paid to writing as one of the most important phenomena in the development of humanity. It explores the importance of writing in the emergence of cities, the foundation of statehood, and the advancement of civilization. Additionally, it examines the socio-economic and cultural links between the regions of Central and Western Iran and the southern territories of Central Asia. Based on scholarly research, the article presents well-founded approaches by leading experts regarding the origins of writing in the territory of Uzbekistan and analyzes the challenges, their proposed solutions, and conclusions drawn from the study of this phenomenon. The article provides a comparative analysis of pictographic signs discovered at the Bronze Age site of Djarkutan in Central Asia with the pictographic writing system found at the Shahdad site in Iran, which was one of the centers of ancient Eastern civilizationThis comparison, structured in tabular form, highlights common features of these writing systems. Specifically, the writing systems of Djarkutan and Shahdad consist of pictographic symbols that provide insights into the socio-economic and cultural interactions of their time, as well as the philosophical and religious worldview of ancient societies. A comparative study of these writing systems allows for a deeper understanding of their influence on other written traditions. |
