| Summary: | In this paper, the adaptive layered asymmetrically clipped optical orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (LACO-OFDM) with variable layer is investigated. The channel capacities of the adaptive LACO-OFDM with different layers are formulated to determine the optimal layer amount under different optical signal-to-noise ratio scenarios with electrical or optical power constraint, respectively. Computer simulations verify the validity of the theoretical analysis for the proposed layer assignment scheme. |
