Description
Summary:A model has been developed to describe a continuous wave self-pumped singly resonant optical parametric oscillator (SPSRO). The analyses take into account the reabsorption losses in a quasi-three-level laser gain medium, the parametric interaction of focused Gaussian light beams, and the effects of phase matching. Furthermore, we apply the model to analyze the threshold and efficiency characteristics of SPSRO, using a Yb3+-doped periodically poled lithium niobate codoped with MgO (Yb3+: MgO: PPLN) as laser gain and second-order nonlinear medium.
