Summary:Technique, strategy, procedure, method. On some terminological-conceptual problems of teaching and researching translation The article discusses issues concerning terminological adequacy of the concepts technique, strategy, procedure and method in the context of teaching and researching translation. Based on several analyses some of the general questions of terminology work can be pointed out that are connected to the problem of the so called terminological “gap” and need to be reassessed. The examples presented in this article should demonstrate how these terminological gaps can be dealt with so that it can be useful in the work of an interpreter or a translator who is trying to develop suitable translation strategies.
