Study on identification method of 14C-metsulfuron-methyl

The chemical purity of 14C-metsulfuron-methyl was determined by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), its radiochemical purity was measured by HPLC-LSC (Liquid Scintillation Counter) and TLC-isotope imaging analysis (TLC-IIA), respectively. The results showed that the...

Description
Summary:The chemical purity of 14C-metsulfuron-methyl was determined by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), its radiochemical purity was measured by HPLC-LSC (Liquid Scintillation Counter) and TLC-isotope imaging analysis (TLC-IIA), respectively. The results showed that the chemical purity of synthetic 14C-metsulfuron was 97.3%, and that its radiochemical purity determined by HPLC-LSC and TLC-IIA were 97.1% and 96.3%-96.5%, respectively. The result identified by LC-MS showed that the retention time of synthetic 14C-metsulfuron-methyl was consistent with that of its standard sample, and that the molecular weight measured by MS (LC/MS total ion and selected ion monitoring) was 381 that is equal to MW of metsulfuron-methyl.
