| Summary: | Some new chalcones have been prepared by Claisen-schmidt condensation of ketone and different aromatic aldehydes. They have been screened for their antibacterial activity against Gram positive bacteria B. subtillis & S. aureus and Gram negative bacteria E. coli & S. typhi. |
