Description
Summary:The construction of a new shield tunnel near an existing operating tunnel poses a great risk to the existing tunnel structure due to the continuous encryption of the rail transit network. This study investigated the safety status of an existing metro tunnel in close proximity to new shield tunnels following construction. A fuzzy comprehensive assessment model (hierarchical fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model) based on an analytic hierarchy process was proposed to assess the risks of the existing tunnel structure. The threshold of indicators in the existing tunnel structure risk assessment system was determined based on the tunnel function and structure security. Then, we described the membership vector determination method, weight vector determination method, and comprehensive evaluation vector processing method. Taking a project case in China as the research object, the quantitative analysis of the established evaluation system was carried out, and the intuitive risk assessment results were obtained. The hierarchical fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model can be employed as a decision-making tool for newly built shield tunnels passing through the existing tunnels, which can provide guidance for tunnel maintenance and guarantee.
