description This work presents a Photovoltaic (PV) monitoring system using the Internet of Things (IoT). It provides a detailed overview of the key steps involved in designing the IoT-based PV monitoring system, examining the specific architectural components, including different system layers, potential software and hardware platforms, and communication network technologies used in the IoT-integrated PV system. Additionally, it discusses the existing challenges and issues of IoT-based PV monitoring systems. Furthermore, it proposes a low-cost monitoring system designed to monitor a PV system consisting of a PV module, a DC-DC boost converter, and a load.
