Summary:Starting with the recent attacks perpetrated by the extreme right in Germany, this article focuses on the continuities of political violence after 1945. It presents the actors of nationalist terrorism as well as their ideology, their infrastructures, their modes of organization and action, in order to question the motivations of the most radical fringe of the extreme right and to trace the history of its activism in the light of social, cultural and political transformation in the Federal Republic of Germany.
