| Summary: | Pizarnik’s life and work are characterized by an early inclination towards writing and by an exuberant sexuality that the poet experiences in a conflictive way. Although his attraction to women is apparent from the first entries of her diary, Pizarnik projects a heterosexual image of herself. In France, the poet dedicates herself almost exclusively to the rewriting of her own texts and those of others, among which stands out a reading that stimulates the writing of a review that later becomes The Bloody Countess (1971), an autonomous hybrid text that promotes a lesbian and queer literary discourse. |
