| Summary: | Street art is nowdays a world wide practise. It is artistically and politically acknowledged, even if it remains debatable. Is it a new phenomenon ? And what could be new in it ? Is it a new genre, a new style ? Talking about novelty may even be an matter of prejudices. And what about the artists ? Isn’t this art an issue of global and social troubles ? To get the most accurate view of this novelty, our method will be materialistic, examinating the economic conditions of production and broadcasting of street pieces. Is it still meaningfull to talk about rebels, counterculture when the market of art computs its return on investment ? A global overview of the recognition processes will help us to knit up the sleave of mixed practices and vague intentions. |
