| Summary: | This paper evaluates the economic benefits of EMU wheels upon the completion of their advanced repair periods and optimizes the re-profiling strategy based on actual application data to enhance the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of maintenance management. Through in-depth data analysis of economic effectiveness, this paper discussed the economic advantages of wheel re-profiling as a complement to advanced repairs, and established a mathematical model of wear and re-profiling based on wheel maintenance data. Ultimately, a re-profiling strategy for retirement upon the completion of advanced repair periods was proposed, aimed at guiding on-site re-profiling operations. The research results show that, compared with the traditional strategy of retiring wheels at the end of service repair periods, the strategy of retirement at the end of advanced repair periods can significantly reduce maintenance frequencies. Dynamic adjustments to re-profiling decision-making allow for the rational control of re-profiling amounts. The proposed strategy can significantly improve the economic benefits of wheels and the operational reliability of EMUs. |
