Description
Summary:Nowadays, as landscape becomes more and more important in our society, the evolution in teaching these professions opens new perspectives. A short research explore the French contest analyzing tree study-cases : the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Paysage de Versailles, the Ecole Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture et Paysage de Bordeaux, the Institut National d’Horticulture et Paysage d’Angers. The aim is to test a methodology, which is based on an interpretative model, using three ideal profiles of landscape architect (concepteur, médiateur, gestionnaire); the study is developed by an inquiry to students and teachers and by an analysis of final diplomas. This methodology could be considered as a good skill to appreciate different and similar characters of the concerned schools. Also, it allows an exploration about the schools attitude on research in landscape and on the purpose to make a landscape architect being a good mediator too: aims that actually became crucial in landscape education.
