description Like other countries, urbanization in Morocco continues to increase in an accelerated way and in all its regulatory forms via urban planning documents and irregular on sensitive and vulnerable sites lacking basic infrastructure and sometimes exposed to various risks. This is where geomatics comes in, as a valuable tool to observe urban expansion and analyze urban spaces. Geomatics, which combines mapping, remote sensing, geographic information systems (GIS) and geospatial information technologies, offers an integrated approach for the collection, analysis and visualization of spatial data. Thus, thanks to geomatics, decision-makers can better understand, manage the spatial and social dynamics of the city and make good decisions to reduce the exposure of vulnerable populations and infrastructures and achieve a resilient city and a balanced reorganization of the city's components and its sustainable development.
