| Summary: | The article provides a brief overview of the organizational issues of the activities of the Supreme Church Administration bodies under the leadership of Patriarch Tikhon in 1918 based on the study of documents from the Office of the Patriarch and the Holy Synod in the Russian State Historical Archive (F. 831). Statistical data are provided on the participation of members of the Holy Synod and the Supreme Church Council in the work during 1918. Information is published on the structure and staffing of the offices of the Supreme Church Administration, as well as on changes during the first year of activity. A brief overview of the problems encountered by the Higher Church Administration in organizing its activities and attempts to solve them is undertaken. The conclusion is made about a significant reduction in the activities of the bodies of Higher Church Administration in comparison with the previous activities of the Holy Synod. |
