description Background: Stunting is a multifaceted issue that extends beyond nutrition and health, incorporating parenting quality and family resource management. Objective: This study aims to analyze the correlation of child characteristics, family characteristics, economic pressure, and financial management on parenting quality. Methods: A quantitative, cross-sectional study was conducted involving 68 mothers from intact families with stunted children aged 24-59 months, residing in Tanjungsari District, Sumedang Regency, West Java, Indonesia. Respondents were selected using non- probability sampling with a purposive technique. Results: Findings indicated that economic pressure (60.3%) and financial management (55.9%) were rated as moderate, while parenting quality (58.8%) was classified as low. Child age (r=0.353; p<0.01), length of parental education (fathers: r=0.274; p<0.05; mothers: r=0.263; p<0.05), and financial management (r=0.326; p<0.05) showed a significant positive correlation with parenting quality, whereas economic pressure (r=-0.278; p<0.05) was significantly negatively related. Conclusions: As children age, their developmental needs intensify, necessitating heightened parental awareness and quality parenting. Families are encouraged to improve responsive feeding skills, effectively manage finances, and explore alternative income sources to support their children’s growth and development.
