Description
Summary:The research presented in this article refers to the possibility of obtaining biogas in the anaerobic digestion process from five wastewater treatment plants sludge from Constanta County. Correlations between the sludge flowrate, the amount of volatile substance, and the amount of biogas were done. Considering a cogeneration unit (CHP), the amount of thermal and electrical energy was determined. The results showed that the energy obtained is at least five times higher than that required by the Constanța Sud Wastewater Treatment Plant.
