description | Web-based civic participation platforms that allow citizens to report defects in public space (graffitis, potholes, damaged pavements,…) have been experiencing a strong development in recent years. Beyond a real operational interest for the public space managers, these mechanisms of anomalies feedbacked by citizen "sensors" poses many questions to the administrations (organizational, political, ethical). This article proposes a study of the uses of urban crowdsourcing and their articulation with the public authorities starting from the example of the 311 reporting service of the City council of Paris DansMaRue. It sheds light on the new forms of engagement that take shape between citizens, technical services and elected representatives, particularly through the analysis of the functionalities and uses of the service and the exploration of the data produced by the Parisians since 2012. |
