Summary:This article proposes the account of three pedagogical and artistic experimentation of the 1970s, pioneers in building a counter-model to schools, places of confinement for children and their learning. Starting from Riccardo Dalisi’s street workshops from 1971 to 1974 in Naples with children who had dropped out of school, we will see how architects, artists and designers propose the reintroduction of children into the street and public spaces of working-class neighborhoods.
