| Summary: | The decade following the end of World War II failed to rebuild, in Brittany, the popular emulation that certain “nationalist” militants could have wished for around the question of the specific Breton identity. However, between 1954 and the turn of the year 1970, a real transformation took place in the perception that the Bretons themselves had of their own identity. This perception is questioned, redefined, it is structured and induces the design of tools which uses will later mark out the political, social and cultural demands that will result in the important post-1970 cultural and social revival. However, it appears that the literary productions of this period accompanied, step by step, these challenges. By naming and fighting against the internal colonialism in progress in Brittany, this production known as the Kleiz ha Breizh/Left and Brittany wave, seems to have played an important role in the history of modern Brittany. |
