description All over the world, 60% of museum storage areas are in such appalling conditions that collections can no longer be used for public benefit through learning, research or exhibitions. A methodology for reorganizing storage (RE-ORG), developed by ICCROM (International Centre for the Study of the Preservation and Restoration of Cultural Property) and UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization), which is freely available online (www.re-org.info), is presented. A case study is offered to show a practical application of the methodology on the Janapada Sampada ethnographic collection of IGNCA (Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts), New Delhi, India.
