Description
Summary:The Canadian economy is a paradigmatic example of the intensive exploitation of natural resources. For several decades, this model has been challenged by the emergence of environmental interests that are struggling to change the production logics. Drawing on renewed approaches to ecologization from political sociology, this paper proposes to analyze an alternative mode of ecologization to contestation : the implementation of ecological innovations or eco-innovations. To operationalize this idea, the paper draws on two case studies in Canadian aquaculture. An analysis of the construction and promotion of two eco-innovations shows the trajectories of a discreet ecologization between science and industry.
