Summary:Background. In the context of modern changes in the world order, which concerns not only economics, politics, medicine, etc., but also education, the professional training of future teachers, presented in the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation on the Concept of training teachers for the education system for the period up to 2030, is of great importance. Russian language and literature One of the objectives of the Concept is to increase the importance of the Russian language and Russian literature in teacher training programs. According to the educational training programs, teaching staff must have proficiency in professional written and oral speech in Russian, public speaking skills, the ability to carry out professional communication, that is, possess phonational and phonetic knowledge, skills and abilities. Purpose. The purpose of the article is to explore the importance of phonation–phonetic knowledge, skills and abilities in the process of training future teaching staff for their professional activities. Materials and methods. The article is based on the study of aspects of the content, essence, and features of the professional training of future teachers. Psychological and social problems of development and spiritual and moral formation of a personality, programs on the Russian language and speech culture for the training of teaching staff, on the provisions on speech and voice training, as well as methodological research in the field of linguistics. Russian language Professional training at the present stage of education development should include both the study of the Russian language, its historical and cultural paradigm, phonetic, lexical, etc. laws, and proficiency in the Russian language. Results. The scientific novelty of this study lies in determining the complex of phonation-phonetic knowledge, skills and abilities necessary for the professional activity of teachers. The practical significance of the research suggests the expansion of the educational program for the professional training of future teachers "Russian language and culture of speech" with phonation and phonetic knowledge, skills and abilities that will not only improve the qualitative characteristics of the voice (strength, timbre, range, endurance), but also increase the quality of pedagogical education in general.
