Summary:Whereas a new social contract links consumers and producers of the peri-urban area of Ajaccio, the integration of agriculture in the territorial planning is questioned. Precisely, is a landscape approach accurate to promote a farming activity under land pressure ? The study of the land-use dynamics points out that the rural landscapes have suffered the urban sprawl since the 1980’s. The development of a local economics let one’s think that there is a new social and territorial transaction at work, which can help to define a place for agriculture. But for that, the observation system should be improved and a landscape’s mediation ought to be implemented.
