| Summary: | Objective: This manuscript provides a general review of transgenerational business elite families and public policy in Ocaña and Cúcuta; economic elites; and organized, mass, or business-oriented interest groups. Method: A systematic review was conducted. Information was sorted from the most recent to the oldest documents, prioritizing recent information such as elite families, transgenerational, politics, empirical elitism, normative elitism. It was developed based on a sample of 25 scientific articles in different journals such as Dialnet, SciELO, Scopus, Springer Open, IOP Science. Results Traditions are described and the politics of Norte Santandereana and its elite families in the cities of Ocaña and Cúcuta are characterized, determining different predictions about which sets of actors have how much influence. Much of the empirical research speaks of the political influence of one or another set of characters. In addition, multivariate analysis indicates that economic elites and organized groups that represent commercial interests have a substantial independent impact on the politics of the government of Norte de Santander, Colombia. Conclusions. It was reviewed that there is a disappearance of elite families, which are new actors in both business and politics, highlighting a renewal but a transgenerational decline of traditional families. |
