description With a marked presence of large land ownership and with a population of mostly day laborers, marked by hunger and illiteracy, from the mid-nineteenth century Andalusia was the scene of frequent conflicts and social movements, as well as the organization of a peasant movement whose ultimate aim was access to land ownership. Trying to unravel the social reality is the purpose of the present work, with particular emphasis on the study of the peasant movement since the years of democratic presidential term from 1868-1874 until the proclamation of the Second Republic in 1931.
