| Summary: | This article is an approach the tourism development in Brazil focusing on the case of Florianópolis, city located in coastal zone of the State of Santa Catarina in southern Brazil. The objective is to discuss the socio-spatial transformations induced by the development of tourism in Florianópolis. In Brazil, tourism development is a process observed in the last three decades and mainly due to the growth of sunshine tourism practices and beach in several places located in the coastal area of the country, generating rearrangements in their organization socio-spatial. In most cases, impacts environmental, social and economic, negatives accompany this growth. In this context, it consider needed to put into practice, both in Florianópolis in the various places located in the coastal zone of Brazil, actions of tourism planning to minimize the negatives impacts of tourism and, at the same time, maximize its positive effects. |
