Summary:With the further acceleration of urbanization, the relationship between urban spatial morphology and carbon emissions is gradually being studied. Taking Beijing as an example, carbon emission in Beijing is accounted for by the night lighting index. Then the impact of urban spatial morphology on carbon emission is explored by using geoprobe and spatial autocorrelation analysis methods, including urban attributes of six landscape indicators such as built-up land and compactness, which are accounted for based on the landscape pattern index. It is found that: (1) Beijing's carbon emissions generally show a pattern of rising and then falling; (2) Beijing has a clear trend of land expansion and has the potential to expand further outward; (3) the main factor for the gradual increase in carbon emissions is the further concentration of construction land. This study proposes corresponding carbon reduction and regulation strategies at different levels of territorial spatial planning levels, and integrates elements of urban form at different levels in the content of territorial spatial planning, which provides references and guidelines for China's low-carbon sustainable development.
