Summary:In the process of the metallographic examination,Q235 B hot-rolled raw material appeared the troostite on the sub-surface of the sprocket after being carburized quenched. The binding force between the surface and the substrate is significantly reduced by this layer due to the microcracks at the junction of the two.In addition,the impact resistance and fatigue strength of the sprocket are also affected. The reason for the formation of the troostite is found by the experiment and the improvement is conducted. The troostite produced in quenching is eliminated and the overall performance of the sprocket is enhanced.
