These movements involve a dynamics of transformation, a change in the affections, capabilities and bodily dispositions of the Karajá when they walk in the bush and when they go to the city. I argue that places and persons mutually constitute one another, so that places stabilize the perspective of the beings that inhabit it. Being in a place, then, imply establishing a relation with the perspective of the beings to whom that place is a village, or a territory. |
