Summary: | This article describes clinical cases of severe intraepithelial squamous cell lesions of the cervix, diagnosed in women before pregnancy.
During pregnancy, physiological changes in the tissues of the cervix occur, which are reflected in the cytological picture of the smears. The risk factors, prevalence and rate of development of cervical intraepithelial neoplasia during pregnancy are comparable to similar changes observed in non-pregnant patients. Vaccination carried out before pregnancy significantly reduces the detection of CIN in pregnant women, does not negatively affect the course of pregnancy and its outcome, and leads to a decrease in the frequency of premature birth.
Pregnancy should not be considered as a condition of increased risk of CIN formation. |
