Broading the history of family according to the development of the historical demography, this article introduces reasons about the evolution with the "nouvelle histoire", on the second part of the XX century. It also demonstrates typologies of the consanguinity groups in Brazil and identifies portuguese ancendances of some precursory families inhabiting "Serra Geral" of Bahia, on the XVIII century, especially the Cotrim.
