Description
Summary:This article adopts a comparative methodology to examine the geographical dimensions and scales of intermediate regions in Brazil and France, in the context of their geographical situations where transportation logistics and the condition of flow intermediation of central regions are highlighted. The study focuses on the distinct geographical characteristics of these regions, considering them within the contexts of their respective economic blocs, Mercosur and the European Union. The study is based on the use of comparative indicators and comparative spatial administrative scales, which were cross-referenced to generate comparative scalar dimensions, and which were distorted using the anamorphosis technique. This exercise was carried out with the aim of bringing the two study areas closer in light of their realities and multiscalar dimensions that coexist and shape the dynamics of their territories, despite belonging to distinct territorial formations. In this sense, the comparison between Brazil and France is conducted using a multiscalar approach to understand how logistics acts as a decisive factor in territorial organization and the integration of these nations in the global context.
