Summary:Community Social Capital and farmer characteristic development are seen as important factors that can influence farmer welfare and farming productivity in farmer groups. This study aims to analyze the influence of Community Social Capital and farmer characteristic development on farmer group welfare and business productivity. This study uses a quantitative method with a survey approach, with 35 respondents who are members of farmer groups in Dayun District, Riau Province. Data were collected using a questionnaire that includes the variables Community Social Capital, farmer welfare, farmer characteristic development, and farming productivity. Data analysis was carried out using path analysis through Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS). The results showed that Community Social Capital and farmer characteristic development have a significant positive influence on farmer welfare and farming productivity in farmer groups. This indicates that increasing community social capital and developing farmer characteristics, such as knowledge, skills, and innovation, can contribute to improving welfare and agricultural production. This study highlights the importance of the role of Community Social Capital and the development of farmer characteristics in improving welfare and productivity of farming businesses.
