| Summary: | The aim of this article is to understand the logics of a territorial cultural configuration defined as the crossing of several fields of strength: an urban context, territorial arrangements and cultural policies, personal and professional logics. Albi, an average city, is today identified thanks to its patrimonial valorisation and its cultural initiatives. The dimension of the analysis is an iterative process over long time (40 years), revealing the territorial logics and the actors involved.Thus, cultural vitality in Albi results from a combination of experiences, conflicts and local or national policies. But analysis shows that national and international paradigms are unavoidable (Creative City Culture for attractiveness), sometimes ignoring specific local resources. The various figures of cultural actors express these movements and tensions, at a time when the municipal project values more an urban strategy, than an anchored cultural and artistic proposal. |
