Description
Summary:In recent decades, Germany has been actively developing its space industry, aiming to become a global and European leader in space technologies and launches. In 2010, the National Program and Strategy for the development of Germany as a space standort were adopted. This strategy was updated in 2023, with one of the priorities being the creation of a dedicated spaceport for launching low-orbit rocket carriers in the North Sea. This project represents a unique opportunity not only to strengthen Germany’s position on the international stage but also to stimulate the development of the national space sector, including its commercialization, known as New Space. The article analyzes the history of the spaceport project, its content, participants, and prospects for implementation.
