description For centuries ignored or wrongly identified as a chapiter or part of a pillory, it is possible that the carved stone piece stored in the municipal museum of Tavira (Palácio da Galeria) – so far only identified with the code MMT228 – is actually an element of a vanished medieval stone cross.
