Les boucles itératives du récit incitent le lecteur à adopter une lecture analogique, c’est-à-dire à mettre en relation des espaces coloniaux différents comme la spoliation subie par deux populations autochtones : les Irlandais puis les Indiens Ojibway. Les dédoublements ironiques qui fondent l’intrigue nous amènent donc à réfléchir aux fondements des récits, historiques et imaginaires, qui scellent une appartenance territoriale. |
