description Shoreline mapping plays an important role in sustainable coastal management. Moreover, it is intended for very strategic areas such as the Kedungsepur Metropolitan Area. Therefore, this study analyzes shoreline changes and identifies their impact on coastal communities. Analysis of shoreline changes using remote sensing and GIS (Geographic Information System). Shoreline extraction uses remote sensing data, namely Landsat satellite imagery. To analyze shoreline changes, use the GIS application, namely DSAS (Digital Shoreline Analysis System). Based on the shoreline change map, it can be seen that shoreline changes at the study location, where Kendal Regency, Semarang City and Demak Regency each experienced shoreline changes, both coastal erosion and accretion. The highest coastal erosion was in Bedono Village (Demak Regency) and the highest accretion was in Widodo Kulon Village (Kendal Regency). For the highest accretion, if seen based on the watershed unit, it is located at Bodri Watershed, which is one of the priority watersheds for revitalization. Therefore we strongly recommend integrated policies between coastal and watershed management for sustainability.
