Summary:This article presents multiple results of an urban planning dissertation on the role of buildings and cities in the spread of the vector mosquito Aedes albopictus in southern France. It takes a socio-urban approach, using urbanism, architecture and sociology tools to link urban forms and their actors in order to study mosquitoes and vector diseases in buildings and in the cities of Arles, Marseille and Salon-de-Provence. This article seeks to integrate mosquito management into urban planning and architectural design by identifying specific obstacles and leverages.
