Summary:In order to complete the function of speed and distance monitoring for high speed train and be compatible with the highest version of the ETCS, it presented a real-time calculation method of train speed based on quadratic Bézier curve to avoid triggering emergency stop. The method is mainly applied for ATP. The speed profile is monitored in the train control system with the current location and speed of the train to ensure that the train speed is within safe limits at all times. This method can avoid excessive wear of braking and save traction energy.
