Summary: | The youth's role in village development is one of the determining factors for national development progress. Their ideas, insights, and creativity can facilitate various development programs, particularly village development. These efforts directly contribute to the achievement of SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities by encouraging sustainable community development, and strengthening local governance. This research aims to analyse the youth awareness of village development published through online mass media. “Suara Merdeka” is a national online mass media that seeks to improve public insight by providing accurate and responsible information. News dissemination related to youth efforts in various village development can increase other youth's awareness and active participation in village development. This research uses a content analysis approach. The results showed that in 6 months (March-August 2024), 12 news articles were published by “Suara Merdeka” and related to the keywords “village development by youth”. The four main issues related to this keyword are village development by youth through the Field Study and Community Service program, village development through the Community Service of lecturers and students, village development through student organisation activities, and youth capacity building programs. |
