Description
Summary:This article focuses at the schooling of students with special educational needs in a dispersed island territory and the collaborative practices that result. After describing the geographical and regulatory contexts of French Polynesia and their impact on inclusive policy and collaborative practices, the qualitative methodology will be described. Based on semi-structured interviews with families and educational, medical, and social professionals working with children and adolescents, it is a question of better understanding the complexity of each situation. The analysis of the first interviews made it possible to identify varied factors such as the level of collaboration, relational misunderstandings, shared investment. They contribute to a better understanding of inclusive collaborative practices between the various actors of inclusive education in a dispersed island territory.
