description In the milling process, poor milling conditions will influence the surface quality of the parts, and even cause tearing, burr and other processing defects on the surface. In order to make scientists understand milling surface integrity more deeply, the research results of milling surface integrity in recent years have been summarized. The milling surface integrity is divided into two parts: surface geometric features and surface layer physical properties. The main contents include three aspects: milling surface roughness, surface residual stress and surface work hardening. The methods and testing methods used to study the surface integrity, the factors affecting the surface integrity and influence of cutting conditions on surface quality are summarized. Finally, the research results of milling surface integrity are summarized, and the measures to improve the surface integrity are listed.
