| Summary: | One of the development goals is still to improve the level and quality of life of citizens through the use of financial market instruments. For this purpose the Ministry of Finance has issued the special bonds (OFZ-n) in 2017 intended for citizens (ISIN code - RU000A0ZYXW7). These bonds should have interested citizens as an investment object, becoming an alternative to bank deposits. Data on the placement of the latest issues OFZ-n indicate a decline in inter-est to them from investors. The article discusses the details of the structure of OFZ-n bonds, which determine their investment qualities. It has concluded that the emergence of OFZ-n did not fundamentally affect the investment behavior of Russian citizens, as a result of which the quality of citizens’ savings portfolios remained at the same level. |
