description To study the relationship between antimicrobial resistance and the concentration of antibiotics, a competitive population dynamical model is proposed between the susceptible strain and the resistant strain with antibiotic exposure. The strict mathematical analysis is performed, and the results indicate that long-term high strength antibiotic treatment and prevention can induce the extinction of susceptible strain. Thus, the prescribed dose of antibiotics must be strictly controlled during the treatment and prevention of the infections in clinics.
