Description
Summary:We aimed at identifying the distribution of periodicity and the reasons for the woman to attend a gynecological consultation and the level of the woman’s understanding concerning the measures for uterus lap cancer prevention after the consultation. It is a quantitative study in with we interviewed 141 women, assisted at a health center, from April to May 1999. We notice that 80 (56,7%) of the women made the appointment due to gynecological complaints (pelvic pain, itch and vaginal running). We observed that 77 (64,7%) kept an interval of up to 1 year from one consultation to another. We concluded that the women ignore the measures for the prevention of uterine lap cancer, with led to the analysis of the importance of gynecological consultation as a means of education for the prevention of gynecological cancer.
