description Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) as an Institutional Innovation. A Regulationist View. This article analyses CSR as a continuing institutionalisation process. We consider that CSR is one of the different forms of competition between firms as they seek competitive advantages. The wage nexus doesn’t seem to be transformed by CSR. In the post-fordian era, CSR appears to be an attempt to provide political legitimacy to the new balance of power. CSR reveals confrontations inside and outside firms, and highlights new relationships between managers, shareholders and employees.
