description The tüchlein and the succhi d’erba are two canvas painting techniques which have promoted great interest not only from the general public but also from expert specialized in artistic heritage. In 2009, the semantic, the technical and technological skills of the two techniques were examined. A suggested treatment for this type of work of art with “nanomagnetical sponges” was also studied. This article shows the methodology used in this research and combines the results obtained by the different experiments and investigations.
