Summary: | Studying East-German and Czech automotive industries, we question the nature of the firms’ transformation from socialism to post-socialism, as well as the logic of these changes. The objective is to determine to what extent the macroeconomic evolution and its impact within the context will affect the firms. Taking into account the contributions and the limits of organizational theory, the application of the theory of productive models is justified to test these hypotheses. In spite of the homogenization factors which influence the East-German and Czech automotive industries, the diversity of productive models remains at the micro level. Subsequently, we demonstrate that the main results of GERPISA‘s are confirmed in a situation of historical change such as in the transition from socialism to post-socialism. |
